The Ministry of Labor of Russia offers to grant a disability pension to volunteers without any application. Corresponding bill posted by the ministry for public discussion on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
The document provides for the assignment of a pension to citizens who have received wounds, injuries, contusions or serious illness in connection with the performance of duties under a volunteer contract.
It is assumed that this norm will not apply to those volunteers who are already receiving an old-age or long-service insurance pension, that is, those who served in the law enforcement agencies before joining the volunteer service. In their cases, the pension amount will need to be recalculated.
It is planned to grant a disability pension to military volunteers from the day they are recognized as disabled due to injury or illness received during service in volunteer formations.
