Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov said that by 2030 the Russian economy will need another 2.5 million workers. Of these, 1 million will be in demand priority directions.
“Already now, 1.5 million more people are involved in our economy than in 2019. In the next five years, priority areas will need another 1 million workers, and by 2030, according to our estimates, the economy will need an additional 2.5 million employees,” said Anton Kotyakov, head of the ministry, at an expanded meeting of the board.
According to the Ministry of Labor, about 1.4 million specialists graduate annually from vocational education institutions. In this regard, Mr. Kotyakov recalled that next year the authorities will develop a unified all-Russian database of proposals for targeted training.
