The Ministry of Justice recognized political scientist Rogov and blogger Shtefanov as foreign agents

The Russian Ministry of Justice added six people to the register of foreign agents, including political scientist Kirill Rogov and blogger Alexander Shtefanov. About it reported on the website of the department.

According to the Ministry of Justice, Rogov created and distributed materials of foreign agents, and also opposed the special operation in Ukraine and spread fakes about the decisions of the Russian government and its policies.

Shtefanov, according to the ministry, was a respondent on platforms provided by foreign media, spoke out against the special operation, spread fake news about the Russian authorities, and participated in the creation of materials for foreign agents. Journalist Konstantin Eggert was also recognized as a foreign agent. The Ministry of Justice explained that he distributed materials of foreign agents and criticized the special operation.

Similar actions were the reason for adding analyst Mikhail Krutikhin, editor-in-chief of the Diletant magazine Vitaly Dymarsky and co-chairman of the Democratic Congress of the Peoples of Russia Martin Kochesokov to the list of foreign agents.

The Ministry of Justice noted that Kochesokov was also recognized as a foreign agent for calls for actions that could lead to a violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation. Dymarsky and Krutikhin, according to the department, spread fakes not only about the authorities, but also about the Russian army. In addition, Krutikhin received support from foreign sources.

The Ministry of Justice drew attention to the fact that Eggert, Rogov, Kochesokov and Krutikhin live abroad.

The list of foreign agents was also supplemented by the legal entity MRR-Fund gemeinnützige UG, which implements the My Russian Rights project and the Internet publication Argument. At the same time, the legal entity of the Rosbalt agency was excluded from the list, since it stopped receiving funds from foreign sources.
