Ex-prosecutor of the Trans-Baikal Territory Maxim Ershov headed the Ministry of Justice of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR). How reports Press service of the regional government, the new head of the Ministry of Justice was introduced to members of the LPR government by the First Deputy Chairman of the Minister of Justice of Russia Yevgeny Zabarchuk.
“Maxim Olegovich has gone through a serious professional path. This is an employee of the prosecutor’s office, the last position held was the prosecutor of the Trans-Baikal Territory. In his person, the LPR receives a reliable person who will be your adviser on many issues,” said Mr. Zabarchuk.
During the introduction of the new leader, Chairman of the LPR Government Sergei Kozlov noted that he had previously “preliminarily met with Maxim Ershov and found common ground with him.”
Maxim Ershov was born in Tomsk in 1964. Graduated from Tomsk State University. He worked in various positions in the prosecutor’s offices of the Tomsk, Tyumen, and Irkutsk regions, and headed the prosecutor’s offices of the Murmansk and Volgograd regions. From July 2020 to May 2023, he headed the prosecutor’s office of the Trans-Baikal Territory.
