The Ministry of Justice included the Free Buryatia Foundation and the Uralic Center in the list of undesirables

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation included in the list of foreign and international non-governmental organizations whose activities are recognized as undesirable on the territory of Russia, the American Free Buryatia Foundation (Free Buryatia Foundation) and the Estonian Uralic Keskus MTU (Uralic Center, Center for the Development of Indigenous Peoples). About it reported on the department’s website.
The ministry clarified that the organizations were added to the list in accordance with Parts 1, 4 and 7 of Art. 3.1 of the Federal Law “On measures of influence on persons involved in violations of fundamental human rights and freedoms, the rights and freedoms of citizens of Russia” based on decisions of the First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.
September 1 Prosecutor General’s Office admitted undesirable activities of the Free Buryatia Foundation. According to the department, the organization’s leaders living in the USA, the Czech Republic, Poland and the UK, “under the guise of educational activities, are attempting to create information threats and organize mass protests in the territory of Buryatia.”
