The Ministry of Justice added the Free Russia Forum to the list of undesirable organizations

The Ministry of Justice of Russia has included in the list of undesirable organizations the Lithuanian non-governmental organization (NGO) Free Russia Forum, reported on the website of the department.
“The Ministry of Justice of Russia has included in the list of foreign and international non-governmental organizations whose activities are recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation a foreign non-governmental organization Free Russia Forum (Republic of Lithuania),” the report says.
Prosecutor General’s Office acknowledged undesirable NGO activity in Russia on February 1st. The department explained that the organization poses a threat to the constitutional order and security of the Russian Federation.
The Free Russia Forum (FSR) is a bi-annual conference of the Russian opposition in Vilnius. The forum was founded in March 2016 by Garry Kasparov and Ivan Tyutrin (both are included in the register of foreign agents of the Russian Federation).
Earlier, the Ministry of Justice included in the list of undesirable organizations the Meduza publication (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), registered in Latvia, and The Andrei Sakharov Foundation, registered in the United States. In total, the list of the Ministry of Justice includes 75 organizations whose activities are recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation.
