The Ministry of Internal Affairs put the judge of the International Criminal Court on the wanted list

The Ministry of Internal Affairs put on the wanted list the judge of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Rosario Salvatore Aitala, who issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin. This follows from the department’s search base.

Atail’s card says that he is wanted under an article of the Criminal Code.

A criminal case has been initiated against Atayla in Russia. In May, the Investigative Committee in absentia presented he and ICC prosecutor Khan Karim Asad Ahmad, who had previously been put on the wanted list, were charged. The judge is charged with Part 2 of Art. 301, part 1 of Art. 30, part 2, art. 360 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (knowingly unlawful detention, preparation for an attack on a representative of a foreign state enjoying international protection). Criminal cases were initiated against two more ICC judges, Tomoko Akane and Sergio Gerardo Ugalde Godinez.

As clarified in the ICR, on February 22, the prosecutor sent a petition to obtain an arrest warrant for the President of Russia and the Ombudsman for Children, Maria Lvova-Belova, after which the ICC judges issued illegal decisions on their arrest. The criminal prosecution is obviously illegal, since, as emphasized in the department, there are no grounds for criminal liability. Heads of state enjoy absolute immunity from the jurisdiction of foreign states, recalled then in the TFR.
