The Ministry of Industry and Trade has developed a mechanism for a new preferential lending program for industrial enterprises – industrial mortgage. The ministry plans to provide a rate of 3% per annum for innovative technology companies and 5% for other borrowers. This follows from a letter from Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Alexei Bezprozvannykh to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development. The document dated August 22 is available from Vedomosti.
In July, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced at the Innoprom-2022 exhibition that the government would launch an industrial mortgage so that businesses could buy ready-made production sites. Then the Prime Minister called the rate on the new instrument at 5% per annum. Mishustin instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development, with the participation of the regions, to work out the issue of launching preferential mortgages for businesses. Earlier, the launch of the mechanism was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
