The Ministry of Industry and Trade confirmed the sending of lists of defense industry workers for deferment from service

The Ministry of Industry and Trade sent to the Ministry of Defense a list of in-demand employees of the military-industrial complex (DIC), who are involved in the implementation of the state defense order, to defer from the spring draft. About it informs TASS with reference to the press service of the department.

“The Russian Ministry of Defense has been sent a list with a list of specific military-industrial complex organizations of military age, which is currently being worked out,” the Ministry of Industry and Trade specified.

The department added that in the near future, the interdepartmental commission (MVK) on armor will develop approaches to compiling a list of workers who may be granted a deferment from service, taking into account the interests of both the Ministry of Defense and industry.

Commenting on the plans to grant a deferment from service to defense industry workers, the head of state notedthat the list of professions in demand has already been transferred to the Ministry of Defense. He added that the decision on the postponement of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Defense should be made jointly. Putin also acknowledged the shortage of personnel in the defense industry and added that this hinders the fulfillment of the state defense order.

Elaboration of the issue of granting a deferment to the employees of the military-industrial complex President announced January 18 during a visit to the Obukhov plant, which is part of the Almaz-Antey aerospace defense concern. He pointed to the workload of enterprises and noted that employees work in three shifts. Then Putin said that the issue of a delay could be resolved in the near future.
