The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the signing of contracts for the supply of Russian aircraft

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that the ministry approved contracts for the leasing of domestic aircraft and helicopters to Russian airlines – their total amount was 274.9 billion rubles. About it reported “RIA Novosti” with reference to the Minister’s statement.

Earlier, Vedomosti, citing sources, wrote that on February 16, the Cabinet of Ministers would announce the signing of contracts for the supply of aviation in connection with the expiration of the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In January the President criticized Manturov for the lack of such contracts for airlines.

“In accordance with the January instruction of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, all three passports of investment projects for the leasing of civil aircraft have been approved, and agreements between lessors, operators and manufacturers have been concluded,” the Ministry of Industry and Trade said. Investment projects are also posted on the government website.

Under the contract, 63 aircraft will be delivered to Aeroflot until 2025, the total amount of deliveries will amount to 175.4 billion rubles. Also in 2024-2026. the aviation industry will have to produce 39 aircraft for the Far Eastern airline “Aurora” in the amount of 55 billion rubles. Manturov added that by 2025, 86 Mi-8AMT/Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters will also be produced for 44.5 billion rubles.

According to the document, preferential leasing and production of aircraft and helicopters will be financed from the National Wealth Fund (NWF) at a rate not exceeding 1.5% per annum. As Manturov noted, the ministry has already signed five contracts with suppliers to the aviation industry.
