The Ministry of Foreign Affairs promised not to leave unanswered the attack on the Crimean bridge

Ukrainian attacks on civilian targets in Crimea, including the Crimean Bridge, will not go unanswered. This is stated in comments the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in connection with today’s attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack the peninsula.

“We strongly condemn these terrorist attacks. The Crimean bridge is an object of purely civilian infrastructure, attacks on which are unacceptable,” the message says.

Zakharova recalled that the bridge has been under attack since last fall, with civilians killed as a result of the attacks. By such actions, the Foreign Ministry believes, Ukraine is trying to “recoup on civilian facilities and civilians” due to the impossibility of changing the situation on the battlefield.

“Such sabotage gives the international community an opportunity to once again be convinced of the true essence of the Kyiv regime. There can be no justification for such barbaric actions, and they will not go unanswered,” Zakharova summed up.

MoD earlier today reportedthat Kyiv attempted to “deliver a terrorist strike on the Crimean bridge with an anti-aircraft guided missile S-200, converted into a strike version. The missile was detected and intercepted by air defense systems, no one was injured as a result of the attack, and no damage was recorded. The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, in turn, first reported about two downed missiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kerch Strait area, and later about another one.

This morning, the Defense Department also reported on the suppression of the night attack by UAF drones on the Crimea. 14 drones were destroyed by means of air defense, the rest with the help of electronic warfare. There were no casualties or damage as a result of the attack.

On the night of July 17, Ukrainian surface drones attacked Crimean bridge, the automobile part of the bridge was damaged. As a result of the attack on the Crimean bridge, two people were killed – a man and a woman who were driving along it in a car. Their minor daughter was injured. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the incident a terrorist attack.
