The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Poland summoned the Ambassador of Belarus in Warsaw Alexander Chesnovsky because of the detention in the republic of a group of suspects of spying for Russia. It is reported by radio station RMF.

It is noted that Chesnovsky was protested in connection with the conduct of espionage activities by Belarusians.

Recall that earlier the Polish media reported on the detention of nine foreigners, who were later charged by the prosecutor’s office with espionage for Russia, as well as “participation in an organized criminal group.”

In turn, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that Poland offers to exchange the detained citizens of the republic. It is specified that he arrested five Ukrainians and three Belarusians, but no evidence was provided.
