The Ministry of Finance records a budget surplus for the third month in a row

The accumulated deficit of the Russian federal budget in January–October amounted to 1.2 trillion rubles. (0.7% of the country’s GDP), follows from preliminary data from the Ministry of Finance. The gap between income and expenses decreased by RUB 464 billion. compared to the figure for the first nine months. This means that last month the budget was executed with a surplus similar to this amount – the excess amounted to 464 billion rubles. The surplus has been recorded for the third month in a row. In September, revenues exceeded expenses by 429 billion rubles, in August – by 455 billion.
Treasury revenues for 10 months exceeded 23 trillion rubles, showing an increase of 4.4% in annual terms. Expenses increased by 11.7% to RUB 24.3 trillion.
