The Ministry of Finance proposed to extend the deadline for paying income tax to state-owned enterprises of the fuel and energy complex (FEC) in the annexed regions for a year. Make this department offers to provide support measures. This is stated in the decree he developed, published on the portal of projects of normative legal acts.
It is clarified that the organizations entitled to receive the said support include state-owned enterprises and institutions that have the rights to own, use and (or) dispose of fuel and energy complex facilities. They should be located on the territory of the Donetsk or Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye or Kherson region.
President Vladimir Putin 4 August signed excess profit tax law. The one-time business fee will affect companies whose profits for 2021 and 2022 exceeded RUB 1 billion. The tax rate is set at 10% of the amount of excess profits. The rate could be reduced to 5% if the company pays the tax this year.
In June, the State Duma Committee on Energy proposed to exclude a number of fuel and energy companies from the list of payers of excess profit tax, including those in the field of electricity, heat supply, transportation of oil and oil products. The head of the committee, Pavel Zavalny, said that the reduction in part of the profits of such companies due to the new tax would be combined with the risks of their underfunding and threaten to delay the implementation of infrastructure projects.
