The plan for transferring income to the budget for the Federal Tax Service (FTS) in 2024 is set at 14% higher than this year. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Finance Alexey Sazanov during a speech at a meeting of the extended board of the Federal Tax Service. “It was decided not to raise basic taxes; the main emphasis will be on administration,” Sazanov noted. The growth in budget revenues for January-August 2023 compared to the same period in 2022 was 9%, noted the head of the Federal Tax Service, Daniil Egorov. The tax service managed to secure budget revenues in the amount of 29.5 trillion rubles, while last year for the same period revenues were at the level of 27 trillion, he said.

The Unified Tax Account began working for Russian taxpayers in January 2023. According to the project developers, the Unified Tax Account should simplify the process of filling out tax documents and reduce the number of errors and technical inconsistencies. The Unified Tax assumes one payment per month, universal details for all taxes, one payment deadline and one reporting date.

When introducing the Unified Tax System, taxpayers were faced with the problem of forming unjustified debt, as well as waiting for a certificate of no debt, Egorov reported in February during a meeting of President Vladimir Putin with members of the government. Later, Putin instructed the Federal Tax Service to quickly identify problems associated with the operation of the single tax account system by establishing feedback from taxpayers.

The head of the federal treasury, Roman Artyukhin, said during the extended board meeting that the main result of the past nine months was the implementation of the Unified Tax Service, which required, among other things, changes in the work of the treasury. The Federal Tax Service and the Federal Treasury managed to create a single window of interaction and thereby optimize joint work. According to Artyukhin, departments have reduced document flow six times, and the number of payment orders has halved.
