“The need for external financing for 2024 was reduced from $41 billion to $37.3 billion thanks to measures to maximize state budget revenues, activation of the domestic borrowing market and other measures,” the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reported on Facebook (owned by Meta, a company recognized as banned and extremist) .
The Ministry of Finance emphasized that the timely receipt of necessary assistance from international partners is vital for Ukraine. According to the department, in 2023 external financing will amount to about $42.3 billion.
At the end of the year, Ukraine faced problems with the allocation of financial assistance from partners. In the United States, aid in the amount of $61 billion is blocked by the House of Representatives of Congress, and in the European Union, Hungary is opposed to new aid to Ukraine worth €50 billion.
