The Ministry of Finance is interested in the economic consequences of switching to settlements in national currencies with the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO; it includes India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan). The agency posted on the public procurement website an application for a scientific study of this issue. The relevance of research on expanding settlements in national currencies has increased significantly due to the introduction of restrictions on Russia, a representative of the Ministry of Finance told Vedomosti.
The cost of public procurement is 50 million rubles. The winner of the competition was the analytical center “Economic Expert Group” (EEG). In addition to studying the expansion of settlements in national currencies, this order included several more topics. The main ones are the assessment of the consequences of the economic crises in Argentina, Brazil, Greece and Turkey, as well as the study of foreign sanctions legislation.
