The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Tambov Region reported work to extinguish a fire in a building in the city of Kotovsk. Information about this appeared on the department’s website.
According to the Department, four departments of fire rescue unit No. 9 (PSCh-9), two departments and a ladder truck from PSCh No. 1, and two departments each from PSCh No. 2 and No. 5 went to the scene of the fire.
After the arrival of the first fire and rescue unit, reconnaissance was carried out, and work is underway to extinguish the fire. The Ministry of Emergency Situations did not disclose the specific address where the fire occurred.
Earlier, information appeared on social networks about a large fire in an industrial building in the city of Kotovsk. According to eyewitnesses, the fire was preceded by loud bangs.
According to TASS, local telegram channels reported that a fire occurred at a gunpowder plant located in Kotovsk. In June 2023, this enterprise also caught fire. Five employees died in the fire.
