To increase the availability of travel in Russia, it is planned to restart the electronic visa, said the head of the Ministry of Economy Maxim Reshetnikov. He also spoke about the idea of creating a “tourist card” for foreigners for cashless payments.
Mr. Reshetnikov made public his proposals at a meeting with representatives of the tourism industry. “We have a number of strategic issues here – the restart of the electronic visa, despite all the issues related to security, their relevance and urgency, we will initiate a dialogue with law enforcement agencies on the topic of looking for some options,” the minister said ( quotation from TASS).
As reported “b”, due to state support programs, reduced rates for accommodation in hotels in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the growing popularity of excursion routes and reduced competition from foreign destinations, the segment of organized tours within the country managed to increase sales by 10-20%. According to the Economist Intelligence Unit, the global tourism market will grow by 30% in 2023.
About the situation on the market – in the publication “Kommersant” “Make yourself at home, traveler”.
