“At the moment, there are no discussions on revising the list of socially significant products,” the press service noted.
RBC I wrote earlier today that it is proposed to exclude from the list products that are included in the diet of the most affluent families, are supplied to Russia from abroad and occupy a tiny share in the expenses of families. According to experts, beef and apples, which are most often imported, fit these definitions. The corresponding study was prepared by the Center for Agricultural Policy of the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEI) of the RANEPA.
In total, the list of socially significant products includes 24 categories, including meat (pork, beef, lamb, except for boneless meat), chicken, frozen whole fish, butter and sunflower oil, milk, eggs, flour, bread, millet, vegetables and apples . This list was approved by the government in 2010 and has not been changed since then.
