A draft resolution has been submitted to the government, which provides for the calculation of the export duty on sunflower seeds, oil and meal in rubles. The document provides for the extension of the collection of duties on oilseeds until August 31, 2024. This is reported Interfax with reference to the Ministry of Economic Development.
From September 1, 2023, the duty rate will be 50%, but not less than 32 thousand rubles. per ton instead of the current 50%, but not less than $320 per ton. The base price for the duty on meal will increase by 2 thousand rubles, up to 15,875 rubles. per ton.
The draft resolution was published on the federal portal of draft legal acts on July 26. Quotas for the export of sunflower oil and meal, as well as a ban on the export of sunflower seeds and rapeseed were introduced in March 2022. The Ministry of Agriculture explained that this measure would eliminate the possibility of a shortage and a sharp increase in the cost of raw materials in Russia against the backdrop of an increase in demand for Russian products.
