Resumption of the program of tourist charter flights across Russia is not planned. Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov told reporters about this at SPIEF.

“Of course, we are discussing whether to do it this year or not. But for now, there are simply no grounds to make this decision and launch charters again, ”said Vakhrukov (quoted from TASS). In his opinion, now there is no need to stimulate the flow of tourists.

Programs for the delivery of tourists in Russia began to operate in 2020. Rostourism compensated 50% of the cost of chartering an aircraft to tour operators, which reduced the cost of tickets to those regions where regular flights are expensive.

In October 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree on the abolition of Rostourism and transferred its functions to the Ministry of Economic Development.
