The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia reported that the system of remote electronic voting in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation is experiencing a heavy load due to high activity. Over the past hour, more than 200 thousand people voted through the DEG system, she clarified press service departments.
The Ministry reported that some DEG users may receive notifications about high load on the system. The department recommended that they log into the portal later. According to the Ministry of Digital Development, 20% of all registered users on the platform, or about 900 thousand people, have already voted using the DEG.
Earlier today, March 15, in “Gosuslugi” appeared message that the portal may work intermittently due to an “unprecedented number of people willing” to vote in the DEG system. Gosuslugi reported similar problems in the operation of the portal of the mayor and government of Moscow mos.ru.
Residents of 29 regions can vote in the presidential elections in Russia using the DEG system if they have registered in it in advance. The elections will last until March 17.
