More than 10,000 Russian military personnel received payments for the destruction or seizure of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. About it reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

“Since the beginning of the special military operation, more than 10,000 servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have received special payments for the personal destruction or seizure of enemy military equipment,” the statement said.

It is clarified that in 2022 alone, 7,064 Russian military personnel received payments for the personal destruction of 11,586 units of Ukrainian military equipment, from the beginning of the year to May, another 3,193 Russian military personnel received bonuses for the destruction of 4,415 units of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense explained that all payments are credited to the personal accounts of military personnel after the relevant orders of the commanders of military units.

The department added that military personnel can receive these payments without restrictions on the amount of destroyed military equipment. This year, military pilots and air defense operators received a payment of 300,000 rubles. for the destruction of 45 helicopters and 71 aircraft, 100,000 rubles each. was transferred to the military personnel of the ground forces, airborne forces and marines “for the destruction of each of the many hundreds of units of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

The topic of payment of rewards for damaged equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was discussed at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with war correspondents on June 13. The head of state stressed that 100,000 rubles had to be paid for each destroyed tank, and 300,000 rubles for an aircraft. Putin promised to deal with the lack of bonuses for this. “The fact that the money is not paid out is unexpected for me. I will definitely return to this today in a conversation with the Ministry of Defense,” he said.
