The Ministry of Defense signed the first contract with the Akhmat volunteer detachment

The Ministry of Defense of Russia and the volunteer detachment “Akhmat”, trained by the Russian University of Special Forces, signed the first contract defining the activities of volunteer units in the zone of military operation. The document was signed by Alexei Kim, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, and Adam Dashaev, Director of the Russian Special Forces University.

Alexey Kim, quoted by the Russian Defense Ministry, notedthat at present “a fairly large number of units, volunteer detachments and other military formations” are taking part in the zone of the military operation.

According to the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apta Alaudinov, over the course of a year and three months of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, this unit sent “thousands and tens of thousands of volunteers” to the zone of its conduct.

“These divisions, each at its own level, had their own benefits, but there was no general settlement of the social package. Therefore, the decision that was made today by the country’s leadership makes it possible to equalize the entire social package for our fighters who voluntarily came to the front, and those who serve in the Ministry of Defense, ”— added Mr Alaudinov.

The order, according to which the fighters of volunteer formations will be included in the united group of troops in the special operation zone, was signed in March. He assumes that before July 1, fighters of volunteer formations will sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense. Thus, explained Deputy Minister of Defense Nikolai Pankov, the volunteers will receive the necessary legal status, “a unified approach to organizing comprehensive support and the fulfillment of tasks by them” will be created.
