The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has published footage of the festive Christmas service, which is attended by members of the special operation. The service was held in one of the churches of the Western Military District.
The military department also clarified that the conscripted mobilized from among those who had already completed training and combat coordination in training centers and training grounds of the Ministry of Defense also came to the temple.
The Ministry of Defense stressed that on the days of great church holidays, the presence of clergy next to military personnel is especially valuable. Moreover, on the holiday at the other end of the country, relatives of soldiers and officers will pray.
The department also noted that conversations with priests have a positive effect on the morale of the fighters. Priests cannot do without examples of the great Russian warriors and commanders – Dmitry Donskoy, Fyodor Ushakov and Alexander Nevsky.
