The Ministry of Defense reported two damaged Leopard tanks in the Kupyansk direction

The Russian military inflicted fire on units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Artemovsk in the LPR and three villages in the Kharkov region, as a result of which two German Leopard tanks were destroyed. About it reported The Russian Ministry of Defense in its daily report.

“The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to up to 20 Ukrainian military personnel, two Leopard tanks made in Germany and three cars,” the report says.

An ammunition depot of the 113th Territorial Defense Brigade was also destroyed near the village of Liptsy in the Kharkov region.

In today’s report, the Ministry of Defense also reported on repelling four attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction in the areas of the settlements of Vodyanoye and Maryinka in the DPR and two more in Krasnolimansky, in the area of ​​Grigorovka and Serebryansky forestry. In the area of ​​the village of Zeleny Gai in the DPR in the southern Donetsk direction, an ammunition depot of the 1st tank brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was hit.

As a result of the actions of Russian aviation and artillery, five control points of the 24th, 28th and 67th mechanized brigades, the 100th territorial defense brigade and the 15th regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine were struck. In the Kherson region, three radar stations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detection and tracking were hit.

Earlier in July, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius reported that dozens of Leopard 1A5 tanks would soon arrive in Ukraine. Then he noted that Germany is in second place in terms of military assistance provided to Ukraine. Berlin later announced the allocation of a new package of military assistance to Kyiv worth 700 million euros. The new package included two Patriot air defense systems, 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 25 Leopard tanks and shells.

Western countries began supplying their weapons to Ukraine even before the start of the special operation, but after February 24, 2022, supplies increased significantly, and the range of supplies also expanded – they included tanks, MLRS, drones, etc. Russia consistently condemns the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine, pointing out the involvement of these countries into conflict.

On July 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Western technology did not help Ukraine achieve progress during the counteroffensive; its characteristics are often inferior even to Soviet-style weapons.
