The Ministry of Defense reported three drones over the Kaluga region

The Russian air defense system destroyed three drones that were trying to attack objects in the Kaluga region. About it reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

“Today, at about 05:00 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by three unmanned aerial vehicles on objects in the Kaluga region was thwarted. All UAVs were detected and destroyed by Russian air defense systems in a timely manner,” the statement said.

As a result of the incident, no one was injured, the infrastructure was not destroyed. Later Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha clarifiedthat the drones were shot down in the south of the region.

The last time a drone was reported in the Kaluga region was on August 12. Then the air defense systems shot down drones in Dzerzhinsky district. August 10 Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin informedthat the air defense system shot down one drone each in the sky over the Maloyaroslavsky district of the Kaluga region and over the territory of the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region. On August 7, the drone was shot down in the Ferzikovsky district of the Kaluga region, on August 3 were destroyed seven drones. No one was hurt in the attacks.

Since October 20, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, a high alert mode has been operating in the Kaluga Region. Such a regime has been introduced in all subjects of the Central and Southern Federal Districts, with the exception of Sevastopol, Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov Regions. In these regions, the average level of response is set.
