The Ministry of Defense reported the interception of 19 HIMARS missiles

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian Armed Forces (AF) intercepted 19 shells of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in a daily summary of the course of the special operation.

“Air defense systems intercepted two Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles, 19 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and two HARM anti-radar missiles,” said Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

The Russian army also destroyed over 260 military Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Donetsk direction, up to 60 Ukrainian soldiers in the Krasnolymansky direction, as well as 120 military AFU in the Yuzhno-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions.

In addition, Konashenkov spoke about the affected warehouses in different directions – an ammunition depot in the Kupyansk direction, a warehouse of the 110th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Avdeevka region (DPR), as well as two warehouses of brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR and Zaporozhye region were destroyed

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
