The Russian army destroyed an armored plant in Kharkov, where the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being repaired, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported in its daily report.
“In the area of the city of Kharkov, a missile strike hit the production shops of the Kharkov Armored Plant, where the repair and restoration of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was carried out,” the message says.
Near the settlements of Peschanoe and Petropavlovka in the Kharkov region, two US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar stations were destroyed, the department added.
In the Kherson direction, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the control center for drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the same day, up to 20 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, an armored combat vehicle and two cars were destroyed. The Ukrainian army lost up to 140 people and a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle in the Zaporozhye direction. The Russian army destroyed the ammunition depot of the 47th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye region.
“In addition, during the counter-battery fight, the following were hit: an M777 artillery system and an M119 howitzer made in the United States, as well as one D-30 gun,” the Ministry of Defense added.
In the Donetsk region, up to 65 Ukrainian military personnel, two armored combat vehicles and two pickup trucks were destroyed. The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the South Donetsk direction amounted to 170 people, five vehicles, an electronic warfare (EW) station and two infantry fighting vehicles.
About 50 Ukrainian military personnel were liquidated in the Kupyansk direction. “The manpower and equipment of the 32nd, 115th mechanized, 25th and 95th airborne brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hit,” the message says. Four Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicles were also destroyed there.
Air defense systems also intercepted two JDAM guided bombs, a HARM anti-radar missile and a HIMARS missile. 28 Ukrainian drones were suppressed by electronic warfare equipment in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
On September 16, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian Armed Forces carried out 11 group strikes on targets in Ukraine in a week, as a result of which the logistics of the Ukrainian troops were disrupted.
