The Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of a drone over the Belgorod region

On the afternoon of September 10, Russian forces stopped an attempted attack by a Ukrainian drone on targets on the territory of the Russian Federation, air defense systems shot down the UAV over the Belgorod region, reported press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“On September 10, at about 14.00 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an aircraft-type UAV on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped,” the defense department said in a statement.
Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov also told about the incident, specifying that the drone was shot down in the Belgorod region. According to preliminary data from the authorities, no residents were injured, but one of the fragments of the UAV fell into the garden of a private house. All emergency services are at the scene, he added.
The Belgorod region is regularly attacked by Ukraine. The last time the Ministry of Defense spoke about an attempted drone attack was on September 8. The region remains at a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a medium level of response has been established in the region.
