A frigate of the Black Sea Fleet carried out an attack on military targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using four cruise missiles of the Caliber complex. The press service of the Ministry of Defense reported this.
According to the ministry, the crew of the frigate received a sudden order to strike with cruise missiles. The salvo was fired in the shortest possible time, and the targets were successfully hit.

The Kalibr complex is a family of Russian long-range cruise missiles that can be used to destroy both ground and sea targets. The firing range at sea targets is several hundred kilometers, and at ground targets – about 2 thousand kilometers. Caliber missiles were used both in Ukraine and against militants in Syria.
The closest Western analogue of the Caliber is the American Tomahawk missiles. They are also long-range cruise missiles and are used underwater, on the surface, on land and in the air. The flight range of Tomahawks is up to 2.5 thousand kilometers.
The Economist reported in September that the Ukrainian General Staff expressed a desire to obtain analogues of the Russian Kalibr and Kh-101 missiles, noting their stealth and speed.
