The Ministry of Defense reported on the reflection of eight attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR

Over the past day, the Russian Armed Forces repelled eight enemy attacks in the DPR. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Group of Forces, in close cooperation with aviation and artillery, successfully repelled eight enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Belogorovka, Berestovoe, Klescheevka, Krasnogorovka and Maryinka of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” – says in the message.

After that, Russian troops counterattacked the Armed Forces of Ukraine and improved their positions along the front line in the areas of Berestovoye, Krasnogorovka and Maryinka of the DPR.

Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine made attempts to attack in the Yuzhnodonetsk, Kupyansk and Krasnolimansk directions, the Ministry of Defense noted. In the Yuzhnodonetsk direction, the RF Armed Forces repelled an enemy attack in the Harvest DPR region. In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian military carried out an offensive on a wide front and took more advantageous positions in the Kharkov region and the LPR. In the Krasnolimansky direction, the RF Armed Forces repelled two attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Novovodyany and Chervonaya Dibrova of the LPR.

Earlier today, Advisor to the Acting Head of the DPR, Yan Gagin informedthat the Armed Forces of Ukraine are concentrating forces on the approaches to Artemovsk. According to him, there are battles for settlements near the city – Kleshcheevka, Kurdyumovka and Andreevka. Gagin called the current situation problematic, expressing confidence that the Russian Aerospace Forces “will solve this problem.”

The Russian special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. During the hostilities, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been conducting active offensive operations since June 4. The Kremlin has repeatedly stated the lack of success of the Ukrainian army.

According to the Ministry of Defense, which was cited by Minister Sergei Shoigu in July, since the beginning of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost over 26,000 people. In total, since the beginning of the special operation, 458 aircraft, 245 helicopters, more than 5,000 drones, as well as 11,100 tanks and other armored combat vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been destroyed.
