The Ministry of Defense reported downed drones over the Moscow region, Kaluga and Sevastopol

On the night of August 10, Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Moscow and Kaluga regions, as well as near Sevastopol. About it informs Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The ministry said it stopped Kiev’s attempt to carry out a terrorist attack. Two drones were shot down by air defense systems in the sky over the Maloyaroslavsky district of the Kaluga region and over the territory of the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region. It is noted that they flew towards Moscow.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin clarifiedthat the incident occurred around 4 am. One strike drone was eliminated in the Kaluga region, and the second – in the area of ​​​​the Central Ring Road.

Near Sevastopol, the air defense also shot down two drones. Nine more were suppressed by means of electronic warfare, they did not reach the target and crashed in the Black Sea.

The Ministry of Defense stressed that there were no casualties or damage as a result of the suppression of attacks.

On the night of August 10, Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports limited the reception and release of aircraft, informs “RIA Novosti” with reference to the press service of the airports. Now all restrictions have been lifted, airports are operating normally.

According to the Vnukovo online scoreboard, flights from Ankara and Bodrum were redirected to Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, and a flight from Sharm el-Sheikh was redirected to Sheremetyevo Moscow. Planes flying to Domodedovo either arrived on schedule or are expected with a delay.

Kyiv’s attempts to attack Moscow with drones have become more frequent since the end of July. On the night of August 9, the Ministry of Defense reported on the suppression of another attempt by Ukraine to commit a terrorist attack. Two drones were shot down near Domodedovo and Minsk highway. As a result of the incident, no one was injured, and there was no damage either.
