Research and Production Corporation “Uralvagonzavod” delivered to the Russian Ministry of Defense a batch of modernized tanks T-72B3M, reported in the press service of the Uralvagonzavod concern (part of Rostec) in a commentary to TASS.
Uralvagonzavod sent a batch of T-72B3M tanks to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Work on upgrading the T-72B to the level of the upgraded T-72B3 was carried out as part of the state defense order, ”they said.
The modernization work carried out increased the maneuverability, protection and firepower of the tanks. In particular, the machines were equipped with a new fire control system capable of automating the preparation of a shot and significantly increasing the accuracy of shooting. In addition, the upgraded tanks are equipped with a boosted V-92S2 engine with a capacity of 1,000 hp. pp., developed by specialists of ChTZ-Uraltrak. The engine is installed with a system for automatic control of the parameters of the power plant and automatic control of the thermal regime.
Earlier in November, Russian aircraft manufacturers handed over To the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation a new batch of Su-34 front-line bombers. Most of them were manufactured at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant. V.P. Chkalov of the United Aircraft Corporation (also part of Rostec).
On October 25, the first meeting of the Coordinating Council to meet the needs of the troops took place, during which Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the need to launch a full-scale production of equipment and uniforms to provide for all those mobilized. According to him, it is necessary to use all the capacities of the light industry, including small enterprises in the regions, as well as to organize uninterrupted supplies of raw materials, materials, and fabrics.
