The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine acknowledged the difficulties with the counteroffensive

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) encountered difficulties and “violent resistance” during their counter-offensive. This statement was made by the Deputy Ukrainian Minister of Defense Anna Malyar.

As the official wrote in her Telegram channel, “people want it to be like in a movie – editing, very quickly, at 13:00 the movie starts, and in an hour and twenty it’s over.” However, the reality is different.

Malyar considered it incorrect to assess the effectiveness of the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in terms of the mileage that the fighters managed to advance, or in terms of the number of settlements occupied by the military. The deputy minister called for understanding that “the tasks that are set before the military, they carry out and a gradual movement is taking place in all directions where the offensive began.”

Colonel of the Austrian armed forces Markus Reisner said earlier that after the start of the counteroffensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine faced a highly coordinated Russian forces and the superiority of the RF Armed Forces in many aspects of combat, which stalled the advance of Kyiv. The military noted the tactical progress not only of the Russian infantry, but also of tank formations.

The Italian media indicated that the Ukrainian counter-offensive had stalled, and the West was showing less and less initiative every day. According to journalists, based on the first 10 days of the military operation, one can draw conclusions about its prospects, but at the moment the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine cause extreme confusion.
