The official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Igor Konashenkov, said at a briefing on Saturday that the Russian military prevented attacks by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region and on the territory of the LPR by “preemptive actions.”
According to Konashenkov, “in the Kupyansk direction, the active actions of the Russian troops” thwarted the plans of tactical groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reinforced by mercenaries, to attack from the areas of the settlements of Kislovka, Pershotravneve and Krakhmalnoe in the Kharkiv region.
Over 60 Ukrainian servicemen and mercenaries, 3 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and 2 armored personnel carriers were destroyed by assault and army aviation strikes, as well as “as a result of being hit by artillery fire”.
Also, in the Krasno-Limansky direction, the Russian military prevented an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack in the direction of the settlements of Ploshchanka and Chervonopopovka in the LPR by preemptive actions. About 50 Ukrainian servicemen, 3 infantry fighting vehicles and 2 armored vehicles were destroyed here.
In addition, Konashenkov said that in the DPR, Russian troops destroyed more than 120 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 tanks, 3 infantry fighting vehicles and 7 vehicles during offensive operations.
