The Ministry of Defense of Poland announced the discovery of the wreckage of an air military facility

The wreckage of an unidentified military facility was found about 15 km from the city of Bydgoszcz in Poland. The Ministry of Defense of Poland announced this on Twitter.

“The safety of the residents is not in danger. Police officers and sappers inspect the place of discovery [обломков]”, the message says.

Poland’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice Zbigniew Zebro said on Twitter that the prosecutor’s office opened an investigation after finding the wreckage of an “air military facility”. According to him, they were found in the forest a few kilometers from Bydgoszcz.

They discovered it on Monday, April 24, according to RMF. According to a radio correspondent, a rocket several meters long was found stuck in the ground.

In addition, it is not known whether the weapons exploded. It is specified that the missile did not have a warhead. The publication suggested that the warhead could separate, so her search is now ongoing.

Bydgoszcz is located in the north of Poland and is not a border town. The distance to the border with Belarus from it is more than 380 km, Ukraine – more than 400 km, and Russia – 209 km.
