The aviation detachment of unmanned aerial systems (UAC) of the armed forces of Belarus is conducting reconnaissance of the area to identify sabotage and reconnaissance groups, according to website Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
As part of a comprehensive check of the combat readiness of the armed forces, the unit of the department, as noted, performs tasks at night.
“The detachment conducts reconnaissance of the area from the air to identify sabotage and reconnaissance groups and illegal armed formations of a mock enemy,” the report says.
With the help of aviation complexes, it is possible to photograph and draw up photo plans of the area, adjust the fire of artillery, tanks from closed firing positions, mortar crews, the Belarusian Defense Ministry added.
Earlier in April, Belarusian Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov informed on strengthening security measures in the border areas of the republic, especially on the border with Ukraine. According to him, both the internal troops and employees of the internal affairs bodies are serving in these territories.
Prior to this, Kubrakov said that the Belarusian police were creating drone units, which would also include attack drones. He explained that the Ministry of Internal Affairs uses drones both to fix the operational situation in a certain area of the territory, and to search for citizens.
