The Ministry of Defense formed creative teams to support the participants of the special operation

The Ministry of Defense created two front-line creative teams of mobilized and volunteers to support the participants in the special operation. About it informs TASS with reference to the department.

“For the first time in the history of the armed forces, two front-line creative teams were formed on a permanent basis, consisting of mobilized citizens, as well as professional artists who voluntarily entered the military service,” the Defense Ministry said.

It is specified that the initiative was implemented by the decision of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, the brigade was created by the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation. This decision was made to maintain a high moral, political and psychological state of the servicemen, the department explained.

The brigades included musicians, drama actors, a professional artist, a circus performer and vocal performers. In particular, we are talking about representatives of the Novaya Opera and Sovremennik theaters. The brigades are responsible for organizing the cultural leisure of the military, as well as for collecting army folklore, the Defense Ministry noted.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.

From September 21 to October 31 in Russia, by decree of the head of state, there was a partial mobilization. The Ministry of Defense announced plans to call up 300,000 troops, however, according to the president, was mobilized 318,000 people, because a large number of volunteers wanted to go to the war zone.

December 7 Putin informedthat only half of the 300,000 mobilized are in the special operation zone. Of these, he clarified, 77,000 people are in combat units, and the rest “are on the second or third lines.”
