The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has published another report on the progress of the Russian special operation in Ukraine. The department reported an attempt by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to move to the left bank of the Dnieper, which was stopped by the Russian side.
“A sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed in the area of \u200b\u200bthe settlement of Dneprovskoe, Kherson region, while trying to cross by boat to the left bank of the Dnieper River,” says in the message of the Ministry of Defense.
The defense department also reported on attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack Russian positions in three directions. In the south-Donetsk direction, Ukrainian servicemen tried to advance in the area of Novomikhailovka, Vladimirovka and Pavlovka of the DPR. The attempt was thwarted, the enemy lost more than 70 soldiers.
In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine wanted to carry out an attack in the Kupyansky direction in the Kuzemovka region of the LPR, which was thwarted by the RF Armed Forces. It is noted that fire was opened on the Ukrainian military, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 35 soldiers. In the Krasnolimansky direction, Russian troops stopped the enemy’s attempt to advance in the area of \u200b\u200bGolikovo and Chervonopopovka of the LPR. As a result, more than 20 Ukrainian soldiers were destroyed.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
However, on November 9, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu gave an order to withdraw Russian troops from Kherson to the left bank of the Dnieper after Sergei Surovikin, commander of the Joint Group of Russian Forces, made a report on the situation in the NVO zone. November 11 Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported completion of the withdrawal of troops from the city. Kherson is now under Ukrainian control.
