The Ministry of Defense announced the strike of “Solntsepeka” on the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR

The Russian heavy flamethrower system “Solntsepek” struck at the strongholds of the Ukrainian army in the Pervomaisky region in the DPR. This was announced by the head of the press center of the group “South” Vadim Astafiev, transmits “RIA News”.
“The crew of the Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system of the Radiation Chemical and Biological Defense Unit of the Southern Military District completed three fire missions at the platoon strongholds of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the settlement of Pervomayskoye,” he said.
Also, Russian aviation hit the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Lisichansk (LPR) and Avdeevsky directions (DPR), Astafyev added. According to him, in the area of the settlement of Pobeda in the DPR, artillerymen of the Southern Military District destroyed seven artillery pieces and three mortars of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On May 25, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian military also hit armored vehicles and several strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass with the help of artillery crews of the Uragan MLRS.

The Russian military also destroyed one tank, two armored personnel carriers, two armored fighting vehicles and three vehicles. The Russian special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. During the hostilities, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special operation, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 429 aircraft, 235 helicopters, almost 4,300 drones and about 9,300 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
