The Ministry of Defense announced the return of 40 soldiers from Ukrainian captivity

As a result of negotiations, 40 servicemen from Ukrainian captivity were returned to Russia. About it informs Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“On April 26, as a result of the negotiation process, 40 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime, who were in mortal danger in captivity,” the report says.
The department noted that the released servicemen will be delivered to Moscow by plane for treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions of the Ministry of Defense. Now they are receiving the necessary medical and psychological assistance.
Earlier today, the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Andriy Yermak, said in his Telegram channel that as a result of the exchange of prisoners of war, 44 military men, including 6 officers, returned to Ukraine.
On April 24, the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kirill Budanov, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, said that Moscow and Kyiv were approaching an agreement on the exchange of prisoners of war according to the “all for all” formula. Commenting on his words, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov notedthat the Russian side is “doing its best” to ensure that Russian prisoners of war return home.
Last time the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exchange of prisoners of war with Ukraine on April 10. Then 106 soldiers returned to Russia.
