The Ministry of Defense announced the new tactics of tanks against the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Tank crews of the Central Military District (TsVO) destroyed a stronghold and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Krasnolymansky direction, using a new tactic. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, transmits “RIA News”.

For the attack, the crews of the T-90 tanks used guided missiles. The department said that, using the terrain, the Russian military took up a firing position at a direct shot distance.

“Having received target coordinates from the reconnaissance unit, the tank commanders used a new fire tactic, which includes the use of various types of ammunition in a short period of time,” the Defense Ministry explained.

With the first shot from a 125-millimeter gun, the tankers disabled the enemy’s lightly armored vehicles, and then they destroyed the stronghold and the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with fragmentation and high-explosive shells, the agency’s interlocutor added.

The day before, July 2, the Ministry of Defense reported on the repulsion of three attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnolimansky direction – in the areas of Torsky in the DPR, as well as Chervona Dibrova and Nevsky in the LPR. In addition, the Russian troops hit the accumulations of enemy manpower and equipment in the areas of the settlements of Terny and Grigorovka of the DPR, as well as near Chervona Dibrova. During the day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 96 servicemen, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, an armored fighting vehicle, a pickup truck and two D-30 howitzers in this direction.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar admitted that Russian troops are advancing in four directions – Avdeevka, Maryinsky, Krasnolimansky and Svatovsky. Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also said that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was “slower than we would like.”

The Russian authorities claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been conducting offensive operations since June 4. The Kremlin stated that the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was “choking”. Russian President Vladimir Putin June 9 pointed outthat the Ukrainian army fails to achieve its goals in any area.
