Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter in the LPR. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“Fighter aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the area of the settlement of Novovodyanoye of the Lugansk People’s Republic shot down a MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force,” – says in the March 16 summary.
In the Kupyansk direction, up to 50 Ukrainian soldiers were destroyed by air strikes and artillery fire. In the Krasnoliman direction, the enemy lost more than 100 servicemen, and in the Donetsk direction, up to 275.
In the Yuzhnodonetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the Russian military destroyed up to 60 Ukrainian soldiers, as well as four tanks, an armored car, a D-20 howitzer and a US-made M777 artillery system. In the Kherson direction, the enemy lost more than 35 people, one tank, two Grad MLRS combat vehicles and a D-30 howitzer.
In addition, the command post of the 59th motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was hit in the Kamyshevka area of the DPR, and the Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed in the Yasenovy area. Also, near Konstantinovka, Russian troops destroyed the Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile system, and near Minkovka, a US-made AN / TPQ-50 counter-battery radar.
On the eve, March 15, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported about the active actions of the RF Armed Forces in the Krasnolimansky and Donetsk directions, where the losses of the Ukrainian side, as stated, amounted to a total of about 395 military personnel.
