The Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of up to 60 Ukrainian soldiers in the Donetsk direction

Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost up to 60 soldiers in the Donetsk direction. About it informs Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“In the course of successful offensive operations, units of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the Donetsk direction. Up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen, three infantry fighting vehicles and seven vehicles were destroyed,” the report says.
The Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation delivered strikes against enemy units and concentrations of manpower in three more directions. As a result, the enemy lost up to 30 people in the Kupyansky direction, more than 40 in the Krasnolimansky direction, and more than 70 in the Yuzhnodonetsky direction.
The Ministry of Defense noted that in the Netaylovo area in the DPR, along with the crew, the American M777 artillery system, with which the Ukrainian military shelled Donetsk, was destroyed. Similar weapons were struck by the Russian military in Preobrazhenka in the Zaporozhye region. The defense department added that the Uragan multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) and two Grad MLRS were also destroyed in the DPR and LPR.
On the eve, December 26, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported about the destruction of another M777 howitzer near Georgievka in the DPR, from which Donetsk was shelled. In addition, in the Kupyansk, Krasnolimansk and Yuzhnodonetsk directions, Russian troops continued to strike at concentrations and positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
