On the night of August 24, Kyiv again made an attempt to carry out a terrorist attack using aircraft-type drones in the Kaluga and Bryansk regions. About it informs Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Two drones were shot down by air defense systems in the sky over the Bryansk region. Another drone was discovered and destroyed in the sky over the Kaluga region. The Ministry of Defense does not provide information on the presence of victims and destruction.

Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha in his Telegram channel declaredthat the drone was shot down on the territory of the Kozelsky district. He clarified that there were no casualties or damage as a result of the attack. The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, did not report the incident.

Around 22:00 Moscow time on August 23 air defense knocked down two more Ukrainian drones in the Bryansk region. Prior to this, the Ministry of Defense reported on the suppression of two drones by electronic warfare systems in the region on August 22.

According to Shapshi, on August 23, air defense also knocked down two drones in the sky over the Kaluga region near the village of Shaikovka. There were no casualties or damage. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense last time declared on the suppression of the attack of drones in the region on August 16. Then three drones were destroyed by air defense forces. There were no casualties or destruction.

After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, Kyiv began regularly shelling the Russian border regions, as well as making attempts to attack objects in Russia using drones. Since October 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, a high alert regime has been operating in the Kaluga Region. In the Bryansk region, a medium level of response and an indefinite high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat have been set.
