“Air defense systems detected 42 unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the fire impact over the territory of the Republic of Crimea, nine UAVs were destroyed, 33 were suppressed by electronic warfare and crashed without reaching the target,” the statement said.
According to the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev, emergency services not fixed any damage to civilian infrastructure.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense reported on the destruction of a missile of the modified S-200 air defense system over the territory of the Kaluga region. According to the agency, Kyiv was preparing to use it to strike at civilian targets.
How noted Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha, no one was injured in the incident. No damage was found either. He clarified that the air defense system in the region worked approximately at 00:30 Moscow time in the Maloyaroslavetsky and Zhukovsky districts.
Since October 20, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, a high alert mode has been operating in the Kaluga Region. Such a regime has been introduced in all subjects of the Central and Southern Federal Districts, with the exception of Sevastopol, Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov Regions. In these regions, the average level of response is set.
