Russian forces have taken control of the village of Novoselovskoye, the Russian Defense Ministry said in its daily report.
“In the Kupyansk direction, the Novoselovskoye settlement of the Lugansk People’s Republic was liberated by competent and professional actions of units of the Western Group of Forces,” the message says.
In addition, the Russian assault detachments were able to improve the position along the front line in the areas of the settlements of Olshana and Pershotravnevo in the Kharkov region.
In the Donetsk direction, Russian troops repulsed ten attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Belogorovka, Avdeevka and Staromikhaylovka in the DPR, and in the Krasnoliman direction, three attacks by assault groups of the 42nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Serebryansky forestry. The Ministry of Defense also reported on the destruction of the ammunition depot of the 44th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Torskoye in the DPR. In other directions, the Russian Armed Forces continued to strike at enemy positions.

The Russian special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. During the hostilities, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these entities became part of Russia.
