Assault detachments took control of a quarter in the northwestern part of Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut), informs the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense in its daily report on the progress of the special operation.
“In the Donetsk direction, assault detachments liberated a quarter in the northwestern part of the city of Artemovsk,” the report says. The Airborne Forces units supported them and pinned down the enemy on the flanks, the Defense Ministry added.
The Ministry of Defense said that in the Donetsk direction, the armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost over 285 military and mercenaries per day. In this direction, two tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, four armored personnel carriers, four vehicles, two Akatsiya self-propelled howitzers, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed. Also in the region of Kramatorsk in the DPR, a warehouse of rocket and artillery weapons of the Armed Forces group was destroyed.

The Russian special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. During the hostilities, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of the Russian Federation.
